![We need more therapists who aren't afraid of unwell mothers.
I said what I said.
Who don't flinch when a mother talks about her rage, intrusive thoughts, or the longing to disappear.
Who have enough clinical confidence, training, and systemic safety.
Because mums have scary thoughts.
Mums are suffering in silence.
Mums are struggling.
But, they filter and minimise the struggle in fear that honesty will cost them their children and autonomy.
Most mothers are not dangerous.
They're overwhelmed.
They're unsupported.
They're terrified of saying too much.
And a [mental health] system where honesty feels unsafe is a system that is failing mothers.
We need more safety. More skill. More clinicians who understand that maternal distress doesn't always equal maternal risk. We need a system that is proactive, not reactive.
Mums dont need surveillance, they need genuine support.
I said what I said.
